Price increase – October 22nd, 2012 – Corrugated Products

During the past few months, numerous rumours concerning a price increase in the corrugated industry have been circulating without being officialised. Letters from corrugated mills dated August 3rd, 2012 had even been issued to customers stating that an increase was going to be in effect September 4th, 2012. Since the August publication of the Pulp & Paper did not reflect the upward movement, Paramount committed to his customers, decided to retract the announced increase.

In the latest publication dated September 21st, 2012, the Pulp & Paper officialised an increase of US $ 50 / ton of the linerboard and medium papers. Therefore, the conditions of the original August increase will be effective on shipments starting October 22nd, 2012. The pricing will increase by 8% on corrugated converted products and by 10% on corrugated sheets.
